from 2012 EBCA President
Jodi DeVillier
Happy New Year to all! I hope everyone had a fabulous Holiday Season. I look forward to seeing many of you at our first luncheon on January 11th where we will have James F. Regan from Low, Ball and Lynch to give our annual Legal Update.
I am proud to be your President for 2012 and want to thank JoAnn Dean for serving as our President for the last two years. JoAnn’s commitment to this organization comes from the heart. Her vision has lead EBCA to a new level and she will continue on our board as the Immediate Past President for 2012. In addition, she is part of CCNC’s leadership for 2012 as incoming Vice President. We are very fortunate to have such a valuable member.
Let me introduce you to our Officers and Board of Directors for 2012. Serving as my Vice President is Ken Ridings with Engineer, Design and Testing, Joe Baughman with Wingard Construction will serve as our Treasurer and Gemma Houser with Paul Davis Restoration will step in as Secretary. As previously mentioned, JoAnn Dean will stay on as Immediate Past President. Our Board of Directors will include Stevan Muir with AAA, Ray Depa with Crawford & Co., Kathleen Taylor with Paul Davis Restoration, Marilou Bustonera with Van de Poel, Levy & Allen, LLP, Robert Mah with RGL Forensic Accountants, Jenny Block with Block Environmental, Bryan Harrison with Association News Network, Lisa Winn with TempHome Services and Kristen Mayo also with TempHome Services. Each of our board members serves in a specific capacity and we are privileged to have such a hard working group behind us.
Our Holiday Party was a huge success thanks to all who attended. A special thanks goes to the committee chairs, Kathleen Taylor and Gemma Houser both with Paul Davis Restoration. Their hard work secured the following sponsorships: Anderson Group International as Casino Night Sponsor, Blue Sky Cleaners as Table Centerpiece Sponsor, CRDN as our Photography Sponsor, ERI as another Casino Night Sponsor and Paul Davis Restoration was our DJ sponsor. Thank you to all of our sponsors. We could not have done it without you!
In addition to our generous sponsors, attendees dug deep into their pockets for the Bay Area Crisis Nursery and EBCA matched those funds. As well as over $500 in toys, Sister Ann Weltz, the Executive Director, was presented with a check for $2500.00 that will go far to help Bay Area children in need. Be proud East Bay Claims Association members.
Our Membership Drive for 2012 is well under way and if you have not already done so, please go to our website www.eastbayadjusters.org and become a member for 2012. Beat the rush and do this before our first meeting! To make your reservations for our first luncheon of the year, respond to our Evite or call Gemma Houser at (510) 760-7571 or simply purchase your lunch now online.
See you all at Zio Fraedo’s in Pleasant Hill on January 11th!
Respectfully,
Jodi DeVillier
