Strong Year for EBCA - 2010 Officer Elections to Come

Thank you to JoAnn Dean and Bryan Harrison for their quick responses this month to our change in meeting dates. There was a major conflict with our host due to their double booking. Although JoAnn previously confirmed our meeting dates months in advance, and we always doublecheck at the end of each meeting, this problem arose. We apologize to those of you who can not attend due to this scheduling conflict .
Chris Beeman is our scheduled speaker. He is an attorney with Clapp/Moroney, and he will address “THE USE OF EXPERTS” Kelly Sullivan has arranged for the speakers this year and I appreciate the many different topics that have been addressed.
We will have a report on the Friday night Boating extravaganza. I am happy to report no one fell overboard and everyone made it home safely. Many people did dress up and I understand from many sources that all had a good time.
The Christmas Party is approaching. Make 12/04/09 reserved on your calendar. Rest assured, no conflict for that night.
The November meeting is when we elect officers for next year. The nominating committee announced their proposed slate at the last meeting. No one has called to state that they were interested in a particular position. We will open nominations to the floor in November and proceed to elect the officers for next year.
I want to thank this years officers with whom I have served: STEVE MUIR, JOANN DEAN and KIM TAMAYO for their strong contributions and support this past year. I will miss my email updates from each of them.
So many of you work behind the scenes and receive very little recognition for your efforts. Rest assured we would not be an Association without you.
I have enjoyed this past year. It has been an honor to have served as your president. I will never forget the relationships that we developed.
To those of you who are on the Board of Directors and fellow officers, we will have our last meeting that I will preside over at the end of our November meeting.
