Grab Your Glam and Get Your Game On! August message from 2008 EBCA President Kelly Sullivan Where does the time go? Here we are, already in August and I am getting ready to go hit some balls in anticipation of our golf tournament, which is THIS FRIDAY! I hope you can join us in some fun and networking at Poppy Ridge! The theme this year is “Hooray for Hollywood,” so grab your ‘glam’ and get your game on! Be sure to remember to bring a backpack for our Backpack Charity Drive to benefit the Calaveras County Mentoring Program! Many of the children in this program don’t even own a backpack, let alone some fun folders, notebooks, pens, etc., so if you have some time and creative thinking, please feel free to stock the backpack with some fun back-to-school items! The CCNC was a huge success, as anticipated! My hats off to Bill Hanamaikai , this year’s President, and Bryan Harrison, Vice President, along with the entire selfless group of volunteers and committee chairs for working feverishly to put everything together...and what a job they did! Be sure to check out photo highlights at www.ClaimsConference.org. Upcoming events after the tournament include our next luncheon at Zia Fraedo’s in Pleasant Hill, with Al Wenzell, attorney and mediator speaking on September 10th. Be prepared for a change of venue in October just to shake things up a bit; we’ve got our Fall meeting at a winery in Livermore and an afternoon of wine tasting to follow. Details will be provided shortly! I hope you are all enjoying your Summer! It’s hard to believe some kids are already back to school this week!
