Taking Care through the Heat of Summer July message from 2008 EBCA President Kelly Sullivan I am stoked the CCNC is just around the corner. The conference is going to be spectacular, as always. I hope to see most of you there! Fires have been burning all over California and the hot weather and summer season is in full swing. For those of you adjusting losses, be careful. Be sure to stay hydrated in the heat and to limit overworking yourselves. I am learning more and more as the years go by that taking care of yourself is the utmost important thing in this life. As I write this, I am sitting in the hospital awaiting the outcome of an open heart surgery for someone very dear to me. It is an amazing thing that life continues to move forward when at times the world seems to stand still for some of us. The best we can do in these unexpected times is hold on tight to what is important to us and to make sure we are clear on what matters. Our health and well being are critical to our existence, so please take care of yourselves. Our last meeting was so insightful. Bryan Hill of EFI Global blew us away with his knowledge of trusses. A lot of good stuff in his presentation! Thanks, Bryan. I hope many of you are joining me for our golf tournament at Poppy Ridge on August 15th. The theme is “Hooray for Hollywood” and our golf committee headed by Kim Tamayo and Frances Hewitt have a lot in store for us, so get your foursomes in as soon as possible! We are also hosting the charity backpack drive again this year for the County of Calaveras Mentoring Progaram, so please remember to bring your donation backpacks filled with goodies to the tournament as well. Our very own Brian Saari’s wife is involved in the mentoring program and the response from the kids last year for what we did was heartwarming!!! I look forward to seeing you at the CCNC.
