Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes... Make the Most of the Coming Season June message from 2008 EBCA President Kelly Sullivan It’s hard to believe we are already in June! Where does the time go? For those of you who are proud parents of graduates, congratulations! Lots of changes in store for the young adults in our world as they make their mark and their way into the future! Speaking of change, last month’s meeting was a fun one! The food at La Tapatia was incredible, as was our speaker, Irene Takahashi. I don’t know about everyone else, but I could have watched her video footage busting claimants faking it for hours! Thank you to all in attendance, as well as to the generous contributors of prizes for our raffle. Lisa Schwichtenberg of Belfor also did a fabulous job with the table centerpieces and those killer picnic bags full of chips and salsa! We were also privileged to have my pal and the CCCA President, Denise Garcia, in attendance. Speaking of change, next month, we have no lunch meeting. The CCNC is July 24th and 25th in Sacramento. Check out www.ClaimsConference.org for more details. The conference is always spectacular; full of quality speakers and fun exhibitions. I hope to see you there! Speaking of change, don’t forget our golf tournament in August. We are moving to a new venue this year; Poppy Ridge in Livermore. Be sure to get your sponsorships and foursomes in as soon as possible. We will not have a lunch in August either because of the tournament. Our word of the month in May was Palindrome. The response to a request for examples was instant and impressive but I forgot to give out Starbuck’s cards to the winners. Please come see me to pick yours up at the next luncheon. This month, we have Bryan Hill with EFI Global speaking to us on problems with wooden trusses and recent building code changes. This should be enlightening, so work up your appetite for some killer prime rib - remember, we are back at Zio Fraedo’s - and I look forward to seeing you on the 11th!
