Such a Warm Valentine’s Day Meeting Turn-Out March message from 2007 EBCA President Karen Cowan Love was in the air (or at least it felt like that) for our very festive February 14th luncheon, complete with beautiful table decorations, yummy Mrs. Fields cookies, those ever delicious chocolate dipped strawberries, and prime rib cooked to perfection. The adjuster attendance was once again exceptional, with an outstanding show of support for the association. As an added bonus, specially designed lapel pins, depicting the East Bay Claims Association logo, were presented to each person who has purchased a membership for 2007. (If you missed the February luncheon and have purchased a membership for 2007, please check with Carol Valenzuela at a future luncheon to receive your member pin). If you haven’t purchased your 2007 membership yet, applications are available on line at eastbayadjusters.org or simply complete the application on the inside back page of this newsletter and return it to Carol Valenzuela. As enrichment to our luncheons, we have launched the hosting of table decorations/centerpieces. If your company is interested in hosting table decorations/centerpieces for an upcoming luncheon please contact me at 510.755.3942. Spaces are filling fast with March, April and May already reserved. A special thanks to our February guest speaker, Tom Shefchick, who shared many interesting case studies he has done with regard to forensic electrical engineering in personal injury cases. The slides/photos spoke their own story. Additionally, a sincere thanks to all who donated an extraordinary amount of raffle gifts. We appreciate your generosity. Please mark your calendar and be sure to join us for our next luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, March 14th. My very dear friend, Lon Anderson with Anderson Claims Service, will be our guest speaker, talking about integrity and the nuts and bolts/tools of the trade which apply to both the adjuster and service provider. This is one luncheon you won’t want to miss so be sure to R.S.V.P. as soon as you receive your Evite. And finally, don’t forget to also mark your calendar for our very first “Members Only” mixer scheduled for Thursday, March 15th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at O’Kearneys Fun House, 1251 Arroyo Way, Walnut Creek. All “members” are invited to attend the first in a series of four mixers we have planned for the year. It is an opportunity to come out, support the association, enjoy some food and drink and get to know other East Bay Claims Association members. This is a free event, sponsored by the association and open to “Members Only”. Be watching for your Evite to this festive and fun St. Patricks Day celebration.
