EBCA Brings Joy This Holiday Season January message from 2007 EBCA President Karen Cowan In the true spirit of giving, a sincere and heartfelt thank you to each and everyone who contributed to our annual Toys drive to benefit Children’s Hospital this past December. The East Bay Claims Association holiday party was a magical evening of fabulous food, dancing, gaming and the silent raffle. This wonderful association also adopted a family in need, and I am proud to announce we provided three children and their mother with much needed beds, (the children had been sleeping on the floor), bedding, coats and shoes this holiday season. I can’t think of a better New Years resolution than that of joining or renewing your annual association membership for 2007, and taking an active part in the organization. The East Bay Claims Association provides a forum to meet fellow adjusters; discover and develop relationships with quality service providers; share a wonderful meal; learn new things in the industry through quality guest speakers (and boy do we have one fine line up this year); and, of course, the opportunity to give back to the local community with events such as our adoptive family last month. Additionally, the association will be hosting special “member only” events throughout the coming year that you won’t want to miss. But your current 2007 membership is the only thing that will get you in to these “member only” functions. Stay tuned for more on that as we get into the new year. We return to the Radisson Hotel in Dublin for the January 10th luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Our venue will remain at the Radisson through May 2007 for the convenience of the adjusters in the neighboring communities. Come June 2007, our venue for the remainder of the year will take us a bit north to Zio Fraedo’s Restaurant in Pleasant Hill, accommodating the adjusters in that local region. Your 2007 officers and board members are energized and ready to make this a banner year for the association. Please join us for what is sure to be an exhilarating twelve months.
