Growing Together
May message from
2006 EBCA President
Robert A. Tucknott
We had another strong turn-out at the April luncheon meeting. Our thanks to guest speaker, Gordon Park, of the McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte & Carruth law firm. Mr. Park’s discussion of the use of Examinations Under Oath was not only very informative, but quite amusing in some of the video examples he included.
Thanks, also, to EBCA member Greg Rousch, of A.I.G. for his introduction of Mr. Park.
We look forward this month to an investigative look at an Arson case. The dynamic duo of Ulises Castellon and Doug Wood will tag-team this presentation. Should be a good one. Make your reservations now!
Arrangements are in place for our outdoor winery under the grape arbor luncheon at Concannon Wineries in Livermore. This will be a barbecue style luncheon for our October 11th meeting, and I promise you will love it! Our Speakers Committee, headed up by Kelly Sullivan, is working to secure an appropriate speaker for that luncheon. We hope to pack in at least 100 people to make it an exciting day, and a worthwhile venture for the group.
Memberships are up. You have all been doing a great job. Keep ‘em coming. The growth of East Bay Claims Association benefits the community at large.
Please continue inviting potential new members and guests. If you’ve yet to join for this year, we encourage you to complete the membership form on page 11 of this publication, and bring it with you to the meeting. Your membership dues help us keep event costs down, and to contribute to the community at large in charitable ways.
I look forward to seeing you all May 10th. It’s your association. Your involvement is what makes it happen.
Your President,
Bob Tucknott
