Education Continues for EBCA
March monthly message from
2006 EBCA President
Robert A. Tucknott
East Bay Claims Adjusters:
Well we had another great program last month. Another session of good legal advice, like we have been getting and I think we will qualify for a continuing education certificate from the Bar Association.
Our programs have been most informative and help members keep from falling into many of the pitfalls that can occur in the legal levels of claims resolution. Thanks to Kurt Bridgman, of Low, Ball and Lynch for his interesting discussion on tenant-landlord disputes.
As mentioned at the last meeting we are currently booking an outdoor summer luncheon under the grape arbors in Livermore. Stay tuned - there is more to follow.
I have talked with Lenny Towle, President of the Central Coast Claims Association, and recommended we have a joint meeting sometime later this fall. Lenny’s idea was to have a joint social somewhere between San Jose and the East Bay. If anyone has ideas please let Lenny or I know so we can start the planning.
If you know of a Claims Adjuster that needs a great lunch and a wonderful program, please invite them to our next meeting and we will comp their lunch. Paid adjuster members actually get lunch free every month.
Attendance and membership are the life blood of any organization and we must be ever diligent to continue to grow ours. 2006 promises to be a great year for the industry, both insurance companies, claims adjusters and the vendors that serve them.
Sincerely,
Bob Tucknott
