Benefits of a Legal Nurse Consultant or Life Care Planner at February 8th EBCA

The East Bay Claims Association is very pleased to present Jill Aggersbury, RN, as our guest speaker for the February 8, 2012 luncheon gathering.
This presentation will raise the awareness of the special skills of Registered Nurses and how they can be used in the insurance and legal industry.
Nurse Aggersbury is a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner, a Medicare Set Aside Consultant Certified, and a Legal Nurse Consultant.
Registered Nurses utilized in medical malpractice, personal injury, and products liability or in workers’ compensation can reduce revenue and medical exposure on claims.
She will discuss, among other things, the distinction from the role of the legal nurse consultant and the paralegal and legal assistant.
Jill has been in the healthcare industry for over thirty years. She has a worked in trauma and general intensive care units in four countries.
In the last 15 years she has specialized in case management working with cost effective and quality solutions. She has been in the insurance industry since 2001 as a full time life care planner and healthcare consultant.
Ms. Aggersbury uses her healthcare experience to help her clients integrate lifestyle choices into their financial plans. Jill has an extensive background in Healthcare as a Clinician and a Case Manager. She trained in England, has been licensed in three countries, holds a Bachelors degree from St. Mary’s College, California in Healthcare Administration and has held positions in private, nationalized healthcare services as well as Managed Care. She became a Certified Financial Planner in the mid 80’s after studying finance at USC. She is a Certified Enhanced Lifestyle Planner and works on a fee only basis.
